THE ARRIVAL JOURNAL / JOURNEY PLANNING

One transfer, or a car for the day?

Decide which booking format fits your stops and the way your day is likely to unfold.

Start with the itinerary

Write out your expected stops and the time you need at each destination. A hotel arrival followed by shopping, meetings or dinner is a different request from a direct journey home. Include the return leg, even if it feels like a small part of the day.

A clear point-to-point journey

A transfer is a useful starting point when you have an agreed collection and destination. If you need the chauffeur to wait at an appointment or make an extra stop, say so in the request. Waiting and a later return are not details to leave implicit.

Discuss an hourly arrangement

For several stops or an itinerary that needs a retained car, ask about hourly hire. Confirm the service area, duration, mileage arrangements and any additional time with the reservations team. The flexibility available should be clear from the quote and booking confirmation.

Compare like with like

Use the same route, timing, passenger count and luggage details when comparing options. Ask what is included and how changes would be handled. Then send the final stop order to the booking team so everyone is working from the same plan.

Make it your journey.
